The Bay, The Series (Amazon) won five (5) out of the seven (7) categories it was nominated in at the 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Creative Arts Awards on Friday night at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

The Bay, The Series won Best Actor Digital Drama Series (Kristos Andrews), Best Supporting Actress Digital Drama Series (Jade Harlow), Best Supporting Actor Digital Drama Series (Eric Nelsen), Best Guest Performer Digital Drama Series (Patrika Darbo), and Best Directing Digital Drama Series (Gregori J. Martin.)

We will have to wait until Sunday night when the rest of the Daytime Emmy awards are presented to see if The Bay, The Series wins Best Digital Drama Series.

The Bay, The Series, received much deserved critical acclaim for season three (3), which premiered last fall on Amazon. During season three (3) the ground breaking series did not shy away from socially relevant story lines that are not always discussed and should be. Executive Producers and Head-writers Gregori J. Martin and Wendy Riche are masterful storytellers, who intuitively know their actors and give them material that allows them to shine.

Season four (4) is scheduled to debut on Amazon later this year.

Creator, Executive Producer, and Director Gregori J. Martin made history becoming the first director to win Director in a Digital Drama Series and the first director to have directed 10 winners in the digital acting categories. Over the last three years (2016, 2017, 2018) 10 out of the 11 acting winners for digital drama series have been directed by Gregori J. Martin on “The Bay, The Series.”

Actor and Producer Kristos Andrews (27) made history twice becoming the youngest person ever to win six (6) Emmy’s and the first actor to win Best Actor in a Digital Drama Series three (3) years in a row. His win for Best Actor in a Digital Drama Series was well deserved. In season three (3) his character Pete Garrett had an uphill battle keeping his family together, trying to save the life of his former love interest Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar), and keeping the love of his life and new bride Vivian (Karrueche Tran) safe from the villainous Adam Kenway (Chad Duell.)

The Bay, The Series is available on Amazon Video and is free for Prime Members. If you haven’t done so, stop what you are doing and immediately binge watch season three (3) of The Bay, The Series, you will be glad you did.
